With Thanksgiving around the corner I think I would revive this amazing stuffing from your archives. If you can’t find a good Italian language chicken sausage, turkey sausage would certainly also be great. Leftovers should be great for about 3 days.

I buy whole wheat baguettes to create this and cut the breads in cubes the night before in order to let it sit out and solidify overnight. You can also do this in the stove the day of, but I personally love to prep as much as possible the night before.

  • fourteen oz whole wheat French bread or even baguette , crusts removed (weight right after crust is removed)
  • two tbsp whipped butter
  • one 1/2 cups diced yellow red onion
  • 1 3/4 cups regarding 4 stalks diced celery
  • 13 oz fresh sweet Italian language chicken sausage , casing removed
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tbsp chopped new thyme
  • 3 1/4 mugs reduced sodium chicken broth

  • In a huge sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the particular onion and celery and sauté, stirring occasionally, until tender plus translucent, about 8 minutes. Exchange to a large bowl.

  • In the same pan over moderate heat, cook the sausage, falling apart with a wooden spoon, until gently browned and cooked through, regarding 10 minutes. Transfer the sausage towards the bowl with the onion/celery mixture.
